Licensed New Zealand data, consolidated into one search
Each source below is queried under licence and returned into a single result. Access is limited to vetted, authorised users and every query is logged against a declared authorised purpose.
How the sources are held
intelID does not scrape, buy or warehouse New Zealand personal information. Each source in the table below is reached under a licence, a register access agreement or published terms of use, and each is queried at the moment a search is run. What returns to the user is the source’s own current position, consolidated with the others into one result set rather than eight separate exports.
Two distinct legal regimes apply. Public registers such as the Companies Office, the PPSR, LINZ titles and the insolvency registers are open records accessed under the terms attached to each register. Credit reporting data from Equifax and Centrix is not a public record: it is governed by the Credit Reporting Privacy Code 2020 and can be accessed only by a permitted user for a permitted purpose. intelID enforces that distinction through role-based access and the authorised-purpose declaration described on the compliance page.

Most enquiries draw on more than one source. The point of consolidation is that you do not have to decide in advance.
Trace

A trace usually begins with credit file address records and digital footprint tracing, then confirms the position against a credit file address and a title record. An asset enquiry runs the other way: title and sales history first, then security interests over personal property, then insolvency history to establish whether anything is realistically recoverable. Sources we do not carry
Being explicit about the boundary is part of holding the licences.
- No health, criminal justice or intelligence agency information.
- No private or restricted account content. Digital footprint tracing covers publicly visible information and platform registration signals only, collected under the provider's terms.
- No data obtained by circumventing a login, an access control or a platform's terms of use.
- No source that cannot be accessed lawfully for a declared authorised purpose.
What we do, and do not, do with what a source returns
Subject data is not used for marketing, is not resold, and is not exposed to public indexing. Two disclosures are permitted: to a data provider carrying out an audit or compliance review of access to its data where our licence requires it, and to service providers who host, support or secure the service, only to the extent needed to perform those functions on our behalf. Where an organisation needs a source that is not listed here, it is handled under Enterprise terms and only where a lawful basis and an authorised purpose can be established. Questions about the sources
Is every source available on every plan?
Source availability is set by role and by the terms of the underlying licence. Credit data in particular is restricted to users with a declarable authorised purpose under the Credit Reporting Privacy Code 2020.
Does intelID hold the data itself?
intelID queries licensed sources and consolidates what they return into one result and one audit record. Subject data is not repackaged for marketing, resale or public indexing.
Can new sources be added for an organisation?
Custom integrations are handled under Enterprise terms. Contact us with the source and the authorised purpose it would serve.
How current is the information returned?
Each source is queried at the time of the search, so the result reflects what the source holds at that moment rather than a cached copy held by intelID.
