Request access

Access is granted after verification, not on signup

intelID has no self-service signup and no application form. Send us the details below and we will start the verification process.

Include these details

  • Your full name.
  • Your organisation and your role in it.
  • Your licence or professional registration, with the number and type. PSPLA licence details if you are a private investigator.
  • The authorised purpose for which you intend to run searches.
  • The number of users you need, so we can identify the right plan.
  • A contact phone number.

The link opens your email client with the subject line and the details we need already filled in. If you would rather write it yourself, email info@intelid.nz.

Why the process works this way

The data intelID reaches is licensed, and the licences require that users are known, vetted and accountable. An open signup would breach that, and it would put every existing account at risk.

Verification also sets the role-based access that governs which sources each of your users can reach once the account is live.

Who is eligible

intelID is available to verified, licensed users only. Access is limited to professionals who can show a lawful, declarable reason to search.

  • Licensed private investigators

Holding a current PSPLA licence or working under a licensed company.

  • Law firms

Practising lawyers and their staff acting on an instructed matter.

  • Credit and collections

Credit providers, collection agencies and recoveries teams acting on their own accounts.

  • Insurance and risk

Insurers, loss adjusters and internal investigation teams.

  • Corporate risk, AML and compliance

Reporting entities and compliance teams meeting statutory obligations.

  • Process servers

Serving documents under instruction from a client or the court.

We do not issue accounts to members of the public, to anyone searching a personal matter, or to anyone intending to use the data for marketing, resale or publication.

Ongoing conditions of access

Verification is not a one-off event. Two obligations continue for as long as the account exists.

  • You must notify us promptly if a licence, registration or professional standing relied on for your verification lapses, is suspended, is cancelled or becomes subject to disciplinary action. We may suspend access pending re-verification.
  • We may re-verify a customer or user at any time, and may require current evidence as a condition of continued access.

Both obligations are set out in clause 3 of our terms and conditions.

Evidence required

One of the following, plus confirmation of your organisation. We may ask for more if the intended purpose calls for it.

  • PSPLA licence number

Your Private Security Personnel Licensing Authority licence or certificate of approval number, and the name it is held under.

  • Professional body registration

Your New Zealand Law Society practising certificate, CFE or other professional registration, with the registering body and number.

  • Organisational credentials

Evidence of your role in a credit provider, insurer, reporting entity or corporate risk team: company details, your position, and a work email on the organisation's domain.

Questions about access

Is there an online application form?

No. Send an email with the details listed on this page, or call us. We do not collect verification material through a web form.

How long does verification take?

Most accounts are verified within two to three working days. It depends on how quickly we can confirm your licence or professional registration and your organisation, so an application with current licence details attached moves faster than one without.

What if my request is declined?

If we cannot establish a lawful, declarable purpose for the searches you intend to run, we will decline the request and tell you why.
